Mrs. Amantina and Mrs. Clara are united by a wall and by hatred. They despise each other for the same reasons and with the same words, so that in their testimonies the direction of their accusations is blurred. The wall that their houses share is a mirror; everything about one is reflected in the other, starting with the need for a roof and land.
