Invierno Flores Jardín
Two women exchange filmic letters that cross past and present, interweaving archival footage from amateur films with present-day fictional footage shot on 16mm. They never meet in person, only in their films. They are: Heidrun, a Viennese portrayed through archival footage, and Sara, a Colombian migrant working in the film archive of the Austrian Film Museum. Both live in Vienna at different times and observe the city from their respective perspectives and life situations. The film addresses issues such as migration, uprootedness and racism, and takes on an essayistic dimension by questioning what deserves to be archived and what does not.
Realizadora de cine y fotógrafa nacida en Bogotá, Colombia. Su práctica abarca diversas formas documentales como el cine ensayo, el video diario y el cine epistolar. Actualmente Sara está interesada en ensamblar material de archivo con elementos de ficción, con el fin de construir un nuevo discurso y significado que la acerque al material original. Sus películas han sido exhibidas en festivales de cine como Doclisboa, Kasseler Dokfest, Ficci, Diagonale y Midbo, entre otros festivales y muestras en Latinoamérica y Europa.
