Abortion Party
After managing to scrape together money to pay for an abortion after her Polish exchange student boyfriend gets her pregnant, the director decides to celebrate with a party. In attendance are her geriatric ska musician neighbor, semi-retired gang affiliates, her dirty gay roommate, and ever present bedbugs.
Julia Mellen is a Brazilian American filmmaker living in Madrid. Her first film was “Yung Lean, Please be my Yung Love,” which has been shown at the London Short Film Festival, Metrograph Theater in NYC, and more. She was also featured in Filmmaker Magazines “25 New Faces of Independent Film” and later interviewed alongside Jodie Mack for “Metrograph at Home”.
