SYNOPSIS

On the outskirts of the city, industrial factories and marshlands come together where the elderly still live their lives full of deep-rooted traditions. This area where everything merges, a cold and gray territory, is the perfect place to play with remembrance and symbolism. There, Khalil, a young immigrant from the Maghreb, does his best to adapt and get by. As part of his routine, he spends long hours in the marshland with a stealthy old man that lives in an enormous house that he shares with his brother, who he hasn’t talked to in years. What is left unsaid, the spying on one another, the eavesdropping, and looking at each other from a distance contributes even more to the sensation of a fable. One which emanates love, hate, and a lack of communication through these characters, uprooted or not, but who are always alone. An ancestral town like the Basque, maybe one of the least mestizo in the world, where immigration seems to be finding its own way to make a place.
