An American woman wants to meet her biological family before her own baby is born. More than anything, she is anxious to know why her birth mother chose not to keep her. It is a cold, awkward reencounter during which she will attempt to lay her doubts to rest. I Am My Own Mother is a moving film about the real meaning of family and the silent, painful weight of the decisions we make.
